Taking the form and proportion of the vernacular long house as its reference, it comprises a single narrow, long volume that follows a broken line. The site slopes gently, and the house sits lightly on its topography capturing the beautiful mountain views as well as the sun as it moves throughout the day. Natural materials have been proposed including local stone facing, white rendered walls, high performance windows and feature glazing that captures beautiful views and natural light.
